FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK
The editor of Sociology of Religion is appointed by the Association for the Sociology of Religion Council to a three-year term. Through the journal, the editor represents the
Association to a variety of constituents. It is in this sense a "public" office and carries with it a reasonable responsibility to be public in its operation.
Therefore, beginning in 2006, the incoming editor will post his annual report to the Council and other appropriate information about the operation of the journal here.
